Abstract:Electric energy storage is the key enabler for improvement of the demand side energy management and integration of renewable energy into grid.This paper analyzes the development situation and the problems urgently needed to be solved in the field of physical energy storage technologies such as pumping energy storage, compressed air energy storage and flywheel energy storage.More importantly, a detailed discussion is made on the working principles, technical advantages as well as the applications and challenges of electrochemical energy storage technologies, including lithium ion battery, lead carbon battery, flow battery, sodium sulfur battery( ZEBRA battery) and liquid metal battery.This paper offers some references for the development of electric energy storage technologies.

Abstract:In order to realize peak shaving and reduce the cost of household electricity consumption, it is necessary to guide the household electricity load more reasonably.In this paper, according to the continuity and discontinuity of household electricity load and the relevance, order, strong dependence and other characteristics among household electricity load, in the background of time-of-use price, a smart household power consumption system model is built including the load model, the storage battery model and the economic optimization model.A method is presented to transform the optimization problem into a mixed integer linear programming problem by encoding of the decision variables model using 0-1 variables.The problem can be solved by Gurobi programming software, which greatly reduces the difficulty of solving the problem.In the Matlab environment, the simulation of the household electricity load data is carried out.The simulation result shows that the model and the optimization strategy can realize the transfer of household electricity load and reduce the cost of electricity.

Abstract:When DSM technology is porpularing, the development of the demonstration projects and the release of relevant demonstrative information can increase the users’ acquaintance for the technology and provide information to decide wheather to accept and participate in the technology.Firstly, individual power comsumer’s behavior was studied by herd behavior.Based on Bayes rule, the relationship between the individual followingup behavior and the demonstration information was explained.The consumers’ decision making process in accrodance with the demonstration information was simulated, and the relationship between investors’ following-up behaviors and the level of detail of the demonstration information was analyzed.Then aiming at user group, the influence of the content of demonstration information on the degree of following-up behavior was proposed, which was utilized to establish optimal release strategy of demonstration information to ensure the best response of the user group.At last, simulation results showed that the effect of demonstration information was indeed affected by its content, which proved that the model was correct and effective.

Abstract:With large-scale distributed energy integration, the frequency of the power system is more outstanding, and demand response can provide solutions to this problem.Based on the demand side for evaluating the feasibility of frequency modulation, frequency modulation method as a starting point, on the demand side response in system FM research were summarized.First of all, it may take part in the load characteristic of the system frequency, and types of demand response are analyzed, which provide an overview of different types of demand response frequency modulation control strategy and modeling method.The paper introduces the demand of the new energy access response FM capability assessment method, finally combining the development of electric power system in China, it puts forward the demand side of FM promotion proposal.

Abstract:Recently, with the growing PV capacity, analyzing its impacts on reliability of power grid accurately has practical significance.This paper puts forward a novel method for modeling the PV output, based on optimal segmentation and multidimensional clustering method, which can retention circadian and seasonal timing characteristics well.Firstly, according to the effective output time of PV in a day, using Fisher optimal segmentation algorithm, year simulation period gets optimal segmentation.Secondly, using multidimensional cluster method of fuzzy c-mean cluster algorithm, each period is analyzed.This method makes photovoltaic output modeling more refined, and preserves its local properties better.Applied in IEEE-RTS test system, the reliability analysis uses meas-ured PV output in Ningxia.The year simulation period is divided into five optimal periods, and at each period, the impact on power system reliability of PV is analyzed.The result shows the effectiveness of the method, and provides significant guidance on PV capacity planning.

Abstract:This paper starts with a brief comparative of various types of heat storage technologies, then analyzes the role of heat storage technology in DSM, mainly introduces the high temperature phase-change thermal storage technology and products.After that, a successful application of high temperature phase-change heat storage system in an enterprise in Jiangsu is also informed.By using this new technology, the enterprise in the off-peak hours made the heat storageand in the peak hours release the stored energy for manufacturing industrial steam.It has a good effect on reducing heating costs and improving power grid peak and off-peak time load user difference.

Abstract:Automated demand response is one of the core technologies of smart grid.By analyzing the status of demand response in China,this paper proposes to deploy energy management system on the demand side, intermediate layer and the supply side.It will help to improve user terminal efficiency and management level, promote the interaction in load-network-source and realization of automated demand response.Then the key points of energy saving and control measures were determined by describing the function of energy management and automated demand response.Finally, this paper analyzes the main body of the participation, puts forward the specific process of implementation, and discusses the operation mode of the automated demand response under the new situation.
