With the further development of the power market, demand response has been further investigated all over the world. The demand response from the perspective of practical cases is described. Firstly, characteristics of demand response program in USA and EU are introduced. In addition, the comparisons between these two electricity markets are analyzed. Finally, combined with the foreign experience and electricity market reform in our country, suggestions are proposed to the development of the demand response programs in China.
