Since the East Japan earthquake and Fukushimanuclear accident, both fossil energy consumption and CO₂ emissions have been increased in Japan.This article introduces a method to re.duce the household electricity consumption by utilizing smart meterand demand response operation mode in Japan in detail.This articleintroduces the use of smart meters to collect household electricityload, and determine the family lifestyle and power consumption modelthrough frequency analysis and clustering analysis.Finally, throughthe feedback report it guides the individual families how to reducehousehold electricity consumption.
