Firstly the paper introduced the development of demand response in foreign countries and in China, and described the benefit of demand response to utilities and customers.Then it analyzed the work flow of porcelain, aluminum, food, chemical fiber and plastics industry and made load shedding strategy of these industries.Practical demand response event verified the effectiveness of such strategy.Finally the paper gave the advice of further development of demand response in China.
