Interruptible load (IL) is a kind of flexible and reliable demand side resources, which is widely applied in power system worldwide.This paper introduces implementation of interruptible load in China.In electricity market, IL can be further applied to the aspects such as providing ancillary services, congestion management and restraining the market power.Furthermore, interruptible load implementation in Jiangsu province against the reformation of electric power system is analyzed.According to policies about the reform, suggestions for the further practice of IL are proposed.
